First Unit Complete - Goblin Spitters

First unit of Goblin Spitters finished and based.
I’ve got to say, I’m pretty happy with how these have turned out overall—especially considering I knocked the whole unit out in around 8 hours. For a quick turnaround, they definitely do the job on the table and hold together nicely as a unit.
That said, I’m still not 100% sold on them.

The main thing I’m wrestling with is contrast and depth of colour. Up close, they feel like they could use a bit more punch—stronger shadows, brighter highlights, and maybe a bit more variation across the cloth and skin tones. From a distance they read well, but I think there’s still room to push them further.
It’s always that balance, isn’t it? Time vs quality.

For gaming pieces, these are absolutely “good enough” (probably better than that, realistically), but there’s that part of me that knows I could take them up another level with more time and layering.

Still, progress is progress—and having a fully finished, based unit on the board is always a great feeling.
On to the next one… and maybe I’ll push the contrast a bit harder.
